Christopher Curry LMSW

Life can be challenging and difficult to navigate, especially without support. During the therapeutic process, I look at how our environment, life experience, and current relationships have an impact on the decisions we make. I work with adults and young adults from all walks of life and belief systems who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, personality disorders, adjustment issues, anger management, relationship issues, and more. I practice using evidenced-based approaches and interventions/techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Supportive Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation, crisis management, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.

I strongly believe in supporting and empowering clients who have been disempowered with transparency, candid communication and, when warranted, humor. I offer a warm, down-to-earth, and empathic environment that facilitates personal growth and provides support while clients strive to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Marianne Williamson stated, “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” Change can be scary especially living with insecurities of being inadequate or feeling like a failure. But the truth is, you are powerful beyond belief. If you think we would make a good team, please feel free to contact me. Let’s find your light, together, side by side at Lantern Counseling.
