Heidi Bott MA, LPC

Are you looking for change in your life, but don’t know where to start? Have daily stressors that used to be manageable, become overwhelming? Or perhaps you need an objective source to help work through past or present difficulties. Either way, you’re looking for a therapist who can help sort through the issues you are dealing with at the moment.

I consider therapy to be a team effort. You are the expert in your life, but could use some outside help to gain a different perspective.

As a therapist, I start from a Person-Centered approach. I also use Mindfulness therapy and have extensive training in EMDR therapy. While many view EMDR as a trauma therapy, it can be useful for a variety of mental health needs. With an understanding of trauma, I can help you understand why you have certain responses to stressors, and help develop a more adaptive response.

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, and dissociation. I’ve worked with clients who have experienced childhood abuse and neglect, sexual or domestic violence, spiritual trauma, and those leaving cults.

If you’re still not sure about starting therapy, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to help you determine if I will be a good fit for you. Not every therapist is going to be the right fit for you, but having a short consultation can help you make an informed decision.
