What moment changed your life? I've found that on this journey we call life, there are specific moments that change the course of our path and complicate our journey. I believe my role is to assist you getting back on the right path, and sort out the cause, so you can reach your destination. I enjoy practicing person centered counseling because it allows me to meet you where you are at and together explore where your new path will lead. I often use Cognitive Behavioral therapy in my practice. Using this type of therapy, we will be looking at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. I also enjoy utilizing movement therapy. Our body keeps score and releasing tension through movement, like dance or yoga practices, can be a highly beneficial tool to your healing journey. I also utilize DBT skills to help you learn how to better regulate your emotions. When working with children, we will utilize play in sessions. Play allows children to make sense of their world and express what they can’t say verbally. I have had multiple training courses and certificates in attachment work, trauma focused work and am currently focusing on obtaining my grief educator certification. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, teenagers, and young adults who may be experiencing changes, or just need someone to talk to. I have provided therapy to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, childhood abuse and PTSD/trauma/sexual abuse. If you are unsure if this is the time to seek help, feel free to send me an email or give me a call. I am here to support you with acceptance and empathy!
